It's Official! Sim Guru Frost just tweeted The Sims 3 will not be updated to 64 Bits on Windows. Stay tuned for news, the community will do something about it and I'll love to share it with you when it's ready ð
There are no plans to update the Windows PC version of The Sims 3. (Please don't hurt me ð°) https://t.co/u2nsBbSqwB

I am not sure it makes much of a difference, though. We'll need to look into how things were implemented, since the update isn't supposed to bring new features and it feels just like a port to Mac OS 64 so they can sell the game to Mac OS Catalina users on Metal...
I long ago went into the sims 3 config settings for the UI and changed how much ram it max out at instead of 2 gigs I give it half of my system ram.
There's a thing we do to patch the game to use all the RAM, but I thought that this version already recognizes the 4 GB instead of two. Truly said, it won't use all your RAM as a 64 bit version would be able to, I believe the community will do something about it if the Mac version is natively 64, they'll likely build a port for us. Stay tuned.
