Hi! It seems that the TeamExtreme 3.8.0's Launcher stopped working as of today, for some reason, for any of the latest versions of Minecraft. Download and get your game up to date again by following these steps...

Instructions on How to Download and Install the New Minecraft Launcher

First you will download the new launcher using the link above.
Once the download is finished, double click the Minecraft 1.14.4 on your peer to peer client to open its contents, as illustrated above.
Now, double click the Minecraft Launcher 1.14.4.jar - You need to have the latest Java already Installed for it to work: Download Java 64 (better), Download Java 32 (only if you can't run the 64 bit version) if you don't have it.
This is the launcher you will use to play the game. NEVER try to update the launcher by clicking that "using new launcher" link!!! Doing that will download the latest official un-modded Mojang release and break your game, since their launcher requires a Mojang account!!! Trust me, I made that mistake and I lost ALL MY PROFILES!
Click on Edit Profile to choose your settings, like the game version you want to run, your screen resolution etc.
Here you can give your profile a name, change your resolution, disable "automatically ask Mojang for assistance with fixing crashes", since you don't want them spying on you. Also, "Enable experimental development versions" makes it possible to download new versions of the game, like the latest Minecraft 1.15.
You can choose the version you want to run (including Optifine) by selecting it on the "Use version:" field, and you can define a few JVM Arguments to optimize your game's performance, like I did (my computer has 32 GB of RAM and an NVidia GTX 1080 video).
Save your profile to go back to the main launcher's window.
You can also switch your user name by clicking on the "Switch User" button at the bottom right, editing (or creating a new) profile on the left, choosing which profile you want to use (if you have more than one), also on the left, and, finally, PLAY by clicking on the large button right down in the middle 😆
That's it! By doing that you won't be stuck on the screen above anymore "Preparing..." to download any new release of Minecraft (1.14 and above) indefinitely!

Weird, it usually processes for just a few seconds and changes the countdown into a link.
It starts looking like this...
Then it will look like this, so you can click on it.
Then you'll get a pop up with instructions, when you close the pop up your browser should ask you to open your torrent client (if you don't have one you need to install it first).

You're likely running using the (old) minecraft icon or anything else that's pointing towards it, then you get the screen below:

So I downloaded this, no problem, BUT when I click play it gets stuck on "launching", I tried the same settings on here but it will only let me pick version 1.15.1, what could it be?
Hi! That is an issue from the previous launcher, this one should be working fine (I tested it here).
With this version of Minecraft, will I be able to play this with other people? Like join other servers?
Yes, except if they require you to have a mojang account (realms etc)
Hello! So I got it all working, and got my old saves and all that in, and it's working perfectly fine. At first it wouldn't launch, but I had to download an extra file that fixed this issue, anywhoozles, I tried to download forge and when it was installed and in my minecraft appdata folders, I put the google url in. Now, when I try to play normal minecraft, it's perfectly fine, but when I try to play the forge version, the launcher will close as if launched, but the game itself won't appear at all. What should I do?
Good question. I have no clue. I usually play with Optifine and my server is still on 1.12 because 1.13 breaks plugins and I'll have to rewrite the code of hundreds, if not thousands, of command blocks, one by one.
Hey there, i downloaded it and everything went well, got the option for 1.14.4 and clicked it in edit profile, saved. Followed all your instructions, clicked play, it downloaded some more stuff in a little blue bar and then said "Launching", that was 37 minutes ago. No matter what i do i always get stuck on launching. any advice?
Weird, because this launcher should have fixed exactly this issue (that the TeamExtreme version had). Are you use you are opening the one from this post and not the previous one from TeamExtreme? This one won't remove the other one.
sorry to bother you, but im trying to download forge, but it wont show up in the launcher when i click on profiles?
To run forge you need to open your forge file (the .json file you downloaded to install/run forge) with a text editor, then find, about 30 lines below the start of the file, something like "url": "", insert something like https://google.com between those empty quotes and it should work, hopefully. I tested it only with Optifine and vanilla, sorry.
