Sims 4 1.72 Laundry List [Likely Future Patch Notes] Introduction

Welcome to the first publication of the Laundry List where we’ll share a list of the top community concerns that we’re currently investigating and hope to have resolved in the upcoming patch.
These concerns were reported by players who help us continue our work of improving the user experience on a regular basis.
Please note that some topics can be tricky and require an extended investigation on our end, so even though we are actively investigating it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in the upcoming patch.
Also note that this is just a list of the “top” concerns. There are more topics that we saw reported by players that are not listed and being worked on.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: Cricket/Bug House Harvesting is Broken
Bug Description: My crickets were ready to harvest, but I decided to feed them first. Now I can't harvest them. It's been days and no option to harvest.
What happens when the bug occurs? Harvesting from bug houses stops working
What do you expect to see? Feeding crickets shouldn't be tied to whether they are ready to harvest or not.
The Sims 4 Get Famous: Celebrity Reacts in Disgust to Everyone
Bug Description: Control a global Superstar and go near someone else.
What happens when the bug occurs? The superstar reacts in disgust.
What do you expect to see? The superstar shouldn't care about presence of others.
The Sims 4 Seasons: Sims Mopping Outside During Rainstorms
Bug Description: Hire a maid and watch them while it's raining and there are puddles outside (usually near a garden with sprinklers).
What happens when the bug occurs? The maid starts mopping up puddles. Unfortunately, those puddles return while she's still mopping.
What do you expect to see? Maids not mopping puddles outdoors while it's raining.
Base Game: Auto-solving Hygiene Need Causes Sims to Get a Drink
Bug Description: Have a sim who wants to take a shower.
What happens when the bug occurs? When clicking on the hygiene need to be auto-solved, the sim gets a drink instead.
What do you expect to see? Auto-solving the hygiene need should prompt the sim to take a shower, bath or use the sink.
The Sims 4 Parenthood: Grounding Teen (Phone) Causes Interactions To Be "Stealthily"
Bug Description: Ground a teen.
What happens when the bug occurs? When an adult sim grounds a teen sim by using the phone, the teen sim can't be controlled to do anything without the action being called "stealthily", which gives a tense moodlet for breaking grounding. Also, the adult sim autonomously reprimands the teen sim for every performed action.
What do you expect to see? Only using the phone or similar actions should be restricted to stealth mode, not natural things like using the bathroom or doing homework.
Base Game: Puddles After Drinking Water
Bug Description: Have a sim drink water.
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim leaves puddles behind after finishing.
What do you expect to see? No puddles.
The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs: Pets Won't Age Up, Even With Treat on Home Lot
Bug Description: Try to age-up a kitten with an age-up treat.
What happens when the bug occurs? Kittens can eat as many as they want while on the home lot and nothing happens. It's like giving her a normal treat.
What do you expect to see? The cats to age up.
The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: Can't Evolve Plants In Vertical Garden
Bug Descriptoin: Have a plant ready to evolve in the vertical garden.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing.
What do you expect to see? Plan to evolve.
Base Game: 'Play Dolls With' Interaction Not Working
Bug Description: Try to make an older sim play dolls with a child.
What happens when the bug occurs? The older sim doesn't do anything and then does something else autonomously. While the child uses the doll house.
What do you expect to see? Both sims should play dolls together.
The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting: Sims Can't Resume Knitting
Bug Description: Get your sim to knit by clicking on furniture or the knitting object in their inventory.
What happens when the bug occurs? Rather than go to knit like before the sim will stand around. It appears that this can affect Sims doing other things too such as bathing, cleaning up. They sometimes show that something is in their way despite said item being at the opposite end of the lot. If they do go to knit, they'll go sit at the pool no matter the weather not the couch, for example, which was selected.
What do you expect to see? Sims will sit down to knit somewhere as they would before.
The Sims 4 Get to Work: Can't Fulfill Task to Transform Grass at Science Lab
Bug Description: It might work to play the Science Career without "Get Famous" until the "transform grass" task pops up.
What happens when the bug occurs? There is no tall grass to transform for the "transform some grass" task; Can't see any tourists when supposed to interact with one for a task; When supposed to either drink a tainted serum or give one away, if giving away, it doesn't fulfill the task. Drinking works, but it should also work when giving a drink away, since it's in the task's description; Running out of plants to water.
What do you expect to see? There should be some clickable grass somewhere outside the building that can be transformed; Tourists should visit the lot when a tourist related task shows up; Giving a tainted serum away should complete the related task.
Base Game: 'Deep Conversation' Misnamed Without Snowy Escape
Bug Description: Have two sims with a friendly relationship and try to have a deep conversation.
What happens when the bug occurs? Deep conversation does not come up in the "friendly" action group.
What do you expect to see? Two sims with a friendship should be able to a deep conversation.
The Sims 4 Bust the Dust: Bunnies and Filth Fiends Are Too Frequent
Bug Description: Dust bunnies and filth friends appear too frequently, 3-6 times each day in a 2 sim household.
What do you expect to see? Dust bunnies and filth friends should appear much less often (plus it's a glitch that's results in an unintentional money cheat).
Conclusion / Expectations...
So far that's what we may expect from The Sims 4 Patch 1.72, to be released near the end of the month of March of 2021, plus bunk beds...
Are you mostly excited for the fixes, the new bunk beds or the announcement for the next DLC Content / Theme? Will they finally release The Sims 4 Generations, or is it too much to expect? I would love to see proper elevators and spiral staircases, like the ones we had on The Sims 3... 😇
