Yes, you read it correctly! It seems that The Sims 4 1.66 isn't only against CC Windows and Doors, but also against many mods, and there's not much you can do about it, short of updating everything possible and possibly removing some of the mods.
But it's not all lost!
Before giving up on mods or on The Sims 4 Star Wars, first update all your mods and custom content, you may not be affected by this issue at all and you might be able to enjoy your game with everything as usual!
Now, after updating everything you could, if you have tons of mods, instead of trying them linearly (in case your game doesn't work well with all your mods), you should use a "binary search" system to find the mod(s) that don't work well. If you only have a mod or two that's messing up with your game, the fastest way to find the bad one(s) amongst a few dozen (or hundreds / thousands đ, I feel you) is to remove half of your mods, try the game, if the game runs well, the bad mod(s) isn't (aren't) in that batch, then you try half of the remainder, then half of the remainder and so on. Once you get a batch that has a bad mod or more you can do the same, but the other way around, by testing half of the bad lot per time until you find the culprit(s). Once you only have a few you can test them linearly, of course.
It's really insane how badly mods are crashing the game this time around, people are receiving weird error messages related to OrangeEmu.dll, OrangeEmu64.dll, Origin.exe, Gallery not Working (even the local items), "In Game" Phone not Working, Unable to Start errors saying there's game data missing and so on. The list is long and the errors are never a clue of the real cause of the problem, but once you remove your mods and try the game again, it miraculously works!
đą It's worth noting that even EA's Own Content from the NEW PACK is glitching (image below)! đ¤Ļđģââī¸
Sorry for bear those bad news, but I am glad there's a way to fix things, even it it means having to play without some of your favorite custom content or mods for a while.
Please share your personal experience below, so we can also learn from your experience and also about specific mods that are broken, so people can hunt them first. đģ
Is there a way of going back to a previous update? I'm not interested in Star Wars (for the game anyway) but would prefer mods over this!
Thanks đ
Hi! Yes, I can send you the torrent file for the previous version, but I just update the article above to reflect the fact that it's not all lost (sorry if my previous text gave the wrong impression), if you have all your mods updated to versions after Star Wars release you might be ok. Or you can hunt for what could be broken by using the binary search method.

Yes! You can use the previous release(s) instead.
