For some reason there is a red x on a file in yandex called '.cureclient' in (Game/Bin/) for sims 4 automatic online. I've also noticed a notification that pops up once i start my game that mentions something about a DLC unlocker. These observations have happened for the past week and my game was appearing okay. It's only today that my dlc was all listed as unowned when i started my game. Do you have any insight on this while i attempt to resync and reinstall?
Hi! You can ignore this specific red icon, which is related to the curse forge mod thing EA implemented.
Try running the installer again after everything else is synchronized and see if it works. Please let me know how it goes.

Yes, you can!!! You don't need to install that tool she uses though, you can use the mklink command directly if you prefer. Either way will work.

I tried to sync my files for the gallery version sims 4 automatic and loaded the installer. When I opened my game all my packs showed 'unowned'
Interesting. Your access to the Lab folder looks ok. Try synchronizing it until everything is green again, THEN run the installer again. Keep me posted! π€

I'm having the save problem.
If you have BOTH EA App and Origin, use EA App. It seems that if my installer detects one it won't update the other. I am working on changing my code meanwhile but EA App's version should be ok.
I'm also having this issue, and have already resynced my files. I'm also only using the Origin App.
Hum. Ok. So, you are using Origin (NOT EA App) and you lost access to the content. All is synchronized. Did you run my installer again after synchronizing? You need to run the installer again each time this happens... π€

I am having trouble with a file saving in yandex. The SP09 folder in the main SP08 folder has a red x and won't save. Thanks for your help!
Hi! Right click the folder via Yandex Disk App and select "keep online only". Wait a minute or two. Open the folder and see if you have files with parenthesis near the end of the name with numbers on them. Delete those if they exist. Right click the entire folder again, select "save to computer" again. I hope it works. Keep me posted.

When I select "keep online only" I get a message that says "These files have not yet synced to the cloud. If you do not want to upload them, then move them from the Yandex.Disk folder."
What does this mean? Do I delete the folder?
You can try. If it lets you, great. You can also open the folder and hunt for files with (1) at the end of their names or other numbers and delete them manually, that might solve your problem too.
Thank you! I believe it did. Now I have a new issue. After running the installer and trying to play, I got a message that says:
The contents of your user data directory were created by a newer version of the sims and cannot be located. Please update your game via origin to play.
How can this be fixed?

Okay now it just wonβt start. Now it says that components of the game are missing and to reinstall using origin. I donβt know what else to do, Iβve reinstalled using the installer, removed mods and it still wonβt work.
I also wanted to add all checkmarks in Yandex are green indicating that everything is synced.
Ok. I removed your access, temporarily. Please visit disk.yandex.com in your browser, delete everything there.
After that, empty your trash folder as well.
Check how your Yandex Disk App behaves, it should erase everything too and show you have 5 (or 10) GB of available space.

I am done. To be clear, I don't need to add the folders to my Documents. I was sure to not do that per the instructions. The only thing in documents was the EA folder.

Can you please email me? I have reinstalled, followed the tutorial, made sure the folders are excluded from my antivirus list, checked recent blocked threats (there are none) and it still will not work. I'm still getting the same error. All checkmarks in Yandex are green. I don't know what's going wrong. It ran one time and then it just stopped. I made sure mods were removed as well.

I think the install process changed since the last time i installed on my computer. I am trying to put it on my daughters. i recall the automatic installer putting everything on (in my case) the c:/ drive. I use the new installer and it doesn't. It kept giving me a msvcp140.dll is not found. along with vcruntime140.dll. i replaced both those files, but i still can not get the game to load. I can get the enjoy prompt and thats it. i try to run again and it tells me that it is already running.
is there a way for me to get the old installer and just update the c:/ with the new packs like I do on mine?
Oh, that's easily solvable by installing Visual C Runtime Libraries.

Hi! Add the folder to your anti virus exclusion folder.
Check if you have another anti virus.
You say you don't have all files, do you have red icons or something else?
How much empty space does your Yandex App say you have at the bottom? Perhaps you created a copy of the files instead of using the "Save to computer" to sync instead. π€
