Do you want to cheat on The Sims 4? Maybe just to fix something that's wrong, maybe to make playing a little bit easier (or harder)? Check the tips below and have fun!
How to Use Cheats in The Sims 4
To enter Cheat Codes in The Sims 4, you must first open the Cheat Console by pressing “Ctrl + Shift + C” on your PC or Mac, while in game. This will bring up the cheat dialogue box where you can enter cheats. Don't forget to press “Enter” after typing in a cheat.”

Type “rosebud” or “kaching” to get 1,000 simoleons
Type “motherlode” to get 50,000 simoleons
To set an exact amount of Simoleons in a household’s funds type “testingcheats true”, press "Enter", then type “Money X” with the “X” being the amount you’d want in as your new family funds.
Make all Houses and Lots FREE on Sims 4 (Click HERE for Video)
Activate the cheat console and type in “FreeRealEstate On” to move into any residential lot no matter the cost, for FREE. To disable this simply activate the cheat console and type in “FreeRealEstate Off”.
Unlock Career Items in The Sims 4 Build / Buy Mode
Go into build mode and open the cheat dialogue box, then type “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement”.
Update Objects States (Clean, Dirty etc)
When trying to tell a specific story you may want objects to be in a certain state, like making kitchen counters Dirty or Clean. To do this activate the cheat console, type in “testingcheats true”, and while holding the “Shift” key click on an object and chose “Make Dirty” if clean or “Make Clean” if dirty, for example.

Teleport your Sims without them being a Vampire
Using “testingcheats true” click anywhere on the ground while holding shift in the area where you want your Sim to teleport and select “Teleport Me Here”.
Free Satisfaction Points (for Rewards)
Fill Sim Needs (Make them Happy, click HERE for the Video Tutorial)
If your Sim is unhappy and you want to manually adjust their needs so they are happy again you will need to activate the cheat console, type in “testingcheats true”, hold "Shift" and click on the Sim you’d like to change the needs for, then select “Make Happy” to fill all bars.
Freeze Sim Needs (Stop Decay)
If your Sims are in a certain state where their needs are either all green, or maybe all red, and you want them to stay that way for an extended time you will need to activate the cheat console, type in “testingcheats true”, hold down "Shift" and click on the Sim, select “cheat need”, and select “disable need decay”. To re-enable need decay simply follow the same instructions, but this time selecting “enable need decay” instead.
Move Objects Anywhere (even if they overlap)
In build/buy mode you may want to place objects (like furniture or windows) in places the game won’t allow. To do this activate the cheat console, type in “bb.moveobjects on”, and select the object you’d like to place and you’ll find that you can put it anywhere inside your lot. You may want to use “bb.moveobjects off” to turn this feature off after using it, specially when you plan on placing doors and windows, since they glitch a little bit when the moveobjects cheat is on (same thing on Sims 3).
Unlock Hidden Build / Buy Debug Objects
Sometimes there are objects that are hidden in the build / buy catalog, example: special in-game events that have ended, that you might want to access or debug items that aren't normally available for purchase. To do this activate the cheat console, type in “bb.showhiddenobjects” and you’ll find the objects are now available to use. It's sometimes helpful to type "debug" in the search bar to see a massive catalog of "special" items… 😏

The Sims 4 All in One Automatic
Introduction Video
Hello! How are you all doing? In this quick five minutes introduction I make a few adjustments to my "Sim Architect" sim, choose winter as the season to start, then show a screenshot of each of the neighborhoods available in my game when I recorded the video (therefore Granite Falls, Strangerville, Selvadorada and Sulani weren't available then):
- Willow Creek
- Oasis Springs
- Newcrest
- Magnolia Promenade
- Windenburg
- San Myshuno
- Forgotten Hollow
- Brindleton Bay
- Del Sol Valley
Then we progress to move into a cheap lot in Del Sol Valley, where we'll start fiddling around with The Sims 4 Cheats and Codes and take a quick look around. The first seven parts of this tutorial series are already available on YouTube, and I will be creating a post for each one here on my website. More content is also coming up soon, including The Sims 4 Island Living. Stay tuned!
nevermind.. i was able to figure out what i was doing wrong.. 🙂
Nice! What did you do wrongly?
hi 🙂
I used the testingcheats on. It says cheats enabled but Shift -Clicking on the Sim or Mailbox doesn't do the following. Is this the norm?
Shift-Click the Mailbox to access the cheat to stop a Sim's need decay for your current household or the entire neighborhood (effectively make everyone happy). Disable Need Decay will make needs stop falling and re-enabling them is as simple as selecting "Enable Need Decay". Make Happy will then fill needs to the maximum. You can do this on an individual Sim level by Shift-Clicking Your Sims. This will let you select to make only that Sim's needs static or make them happy by filling all needs. You are also able to completely redesign a Sim by shift-clicking them and selecting Modify in CAS. This takes you to Create-A-Sim where you can make the Sim look however you want, but not change their gender or traits.
