Awesome! It should be ready already but Yandex Disk App is taking forever to update the modified files, so I am waiting for it to process all changes (it could take from an hour to a couple of days).

Hey guys! Got this all working now. I am trying to load it with my NRAAS mods and package files but the screen opens as black and then just closes. I have started the game and made a save before adding anything to the game. It also works with all my sims3 pack files but it just WILL NOT open with just package files? ?Any help. Using Windows 10
That is weird, package files should be working normally, the full store, for example, uses them.
Hi the game keeps crashing i'm not sure what to do. I downloaded it correctly but it just sometimes freezes and then crashes. What should I do?
Hi! Thanks for letting me know. Were you able to run the smooth patch or are you playing without it because of your anti virus? Do you have too many mods/CC? How much RAM do you have and is the game (and the documents folder) inside an SSD or a regular spinning Hard Drive? (sorry for all the questions, they can all cause the game to lag)
Also, always use "Save As..." and NOT "Save" to save your game. That solves a good amount of problems.
Hi! I just picked this up the other day. I ran the installer overnight and when i woke up it was still going. Im concerned because my computer is like 4 months old. It shouldnt take that long. Any troubleshooting help would be appreciated!

Hi! I had a problem with running the installer and also couldn't get pass 'Copying files' stage. I left it running overnight (~12 hours) and it still did not complete 🙁 Any suggestions?
Interesting. Try closing it, running it again (as administrator). Of course, did you double check everything is properly downloaded and that your anti virus didn't flag the smooth patch (the one that improves performance) wasn't flagged by your anti virus?
Everything was downloaded correctly I think, but I tried again several times and later it worked! Taking about 15 mins for this copying part but may just be my PC slow.

Ah! Well, once you finish the download when you're installing it may take a long time since it's a massive game (with everything included). My video is sped up, of course, since it would make no sense to have people waiting half hour while watching 😁
Been a long time follower, thank you for all of your hard work! First time installing it the new way, I started on a fresh PC and made it up to syncing on Yadnex. I started the install .batch file and have been sitting on "Coping Files...." for about 9 hours now. Is that a normal amount of time or am I safe to exit and try again? I don't want to exit it with 90% completion and have to start over lol. Thanks!

Hi! I'm having the hardest time trying to get mods to work. I have the files (end with . package ) placed in the mods folders in Documents and it's not working. Is there a way to enable them as in Sims 4?

How can I switch to drive D:\ when running the setup (Windows Batch) file?
You need to use mklink on a command prompt window.
First, create the folder "D:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts"
Then, delete the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts" (if you have one, so you free the space up AND it's a requirement for the step below)
Type this in your command prompt:
mklink /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts" "D:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts"After this your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts" will point to "D:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts" and both locations will look the same, even though your files from that folder (and its subfolders) will be stored on D. You can do this for any other folder you wish as well.

You can edit the file "\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Options.ini" manually to change the resolution, video size for recordings and if you want full screen or windowed mode, amongst many other things.
To change the language you need to open the folder called Registry, and not edit the registry directly, then you'll see the files for each language. If you double click the one you want it should change the language for you.

The file you downloaded has a subfolder insided called "Registry" that has the languages, just double click the one you want inside.
When you change the language you will likely be able to change the resolution from within the game since you won't be using the same folder for your options, after all.
in this folder only 2 files sims3.reg and sim3 uninstall information.reg

Hum... Oh, I see you're a Premium Subscriber (Thanks again), so you're using Yandex to sync it. Can you double check you have all files synchronized with green icons (same as we do with Sims 4)?
If so, try reinstalling and let me know what happens (remember you have to run the installer as Administrator).

Is there any way to uninstall and reinstall the launcher itself? I can still play, but I just installed some cc that seems to have completely broken the launcher...nothing happens when I try install new simspack or when I try to open the launcher D:
Yes, you can just run the installer again. Try to use the launcher from "Into The Future" folder.
I can't find my previous comments so I don't know if there was a reply lol...but I am still having to change the settings for the game every time I open it. I did figure out the other problem I was having with the custom content...had to block the smooth patch from my antivirus software 😀
Hi! Cool! The smooth patch is detected because it changes the way theh game uses CPU and memory in a way that triggers them.
Didn't deleting the options.ini file work or didn't you see my suggestion to do that?

"Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Options.ini"Please let me know if it works well for you, so I can add that instruction to the tutorial above. I have that file optimized but I didn't remember it was set to be read only, sorry. You can also try to change it from read only to normal, but I don't remember if it works, so you may want to delete it entirely and set the options for your game from scratch.
Oh and, of course, remember running windowed tends to be much better performance-wise, but if you enjoy it better full screen give it a try!

I'm going to be installing the Sims 3 on another drive (by following instrctions) My question is will my mods for sims 3 go there as well or will that be in my documents.
Hi! You install mods the same way you install mods on Sims 3 normally, no matter which version of the game you're using, since it's not automatic like Sims 4 and you'll be operating on your local files only, being them in your program files (C, D or any other) or your documents.
Most of the times mods and CC go into the documents though. Only very specific mods are installed otherwise.
But, then, since you'll be using the mklink command, you'll see a normal "Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3" folder pointing to the real destination anyways, guaranteeing you have more compatibility with mods and my installer as well.
I;m still on the C:/ download part ( the first step ) where it says 'theres a lot of files... PLEASE WAIT!'... but it's taken 3 hours and nothings changed... do you know how long it takes usually? i also didn't get the option to install the NET. framework before it... please help 🙁
Interesting. I wonder if your problem is a slow drive or something else. Did you download the entire thing? Are you running the installer as Administrator?

And the only other method I have is for Premium Subscribers, which can download synchronizing via Yandex Disk (plus Premium Subscribers have access to the full store, The Sims 4 etc)

When I try the same download it fails immediately and does not pick up where it left off ...
I'm not using a VPN or anything, but I am giving it a shot with another browser just in case - I'll let you know how that goes in an hour or so.

Is it possible to not have it download to the programs file and to another storage? I don't have a large enough space for it to go in my programs file. I plan on building a whole new computer to fix this in the future but i wanna play now.
You can use the command below to trick your system into believing the files are on a certain location when they are actually somewhere else:
