The Sims 4 Update 1.52.100.1020

General Issues

  • Toddler’s Needs will now always be refilled while they’re at daycare.
  • Exterior trim now correctly applies to rounded flat blocks.
  • Adult Sims will now be able to successfully put Toddlers to bed. I wonder what their secret is. I may need to tap them for tips.
  • Sims on fire are now able to safely extinguish themselves in a pool. That’s refreshing.
  • The Dizzy Palms Ceiling Fan’s blades now tilt in the right direction.
  • Toddlers will no longer be put down from the high chair before they’ve finished eating. Patience mama, they’re still learning.
  • Gender Preference now affects flirt options.
  • Teen Sims will no longer spin into their Everyday outfit when going to school. If Randy wants to wear his swim trunks to school, well that’s Randy’s business.
  • Flirting with another Sim in a group conversation no longer increases the entire group’s Romance with you. That was awkward.
  • NPC Invites for Talent Showcase and Lounge will now take you to the appropriate venue.
  • We have fixed that bizarre issue where you’d have your Sims travel home, and then you load into your home lot, and your Sim’s skewer thumbnails are all greyed out like they’re not there, but when you hover over the skewer it tells you your Sims are at home. But like, they’re not at home. You’re staring at this empty lot, unable to play your Sims and you’re like.. “Is this even my home?”. And you start to question whether you selected the right lot on the map, but then you’re like “Wait, yeah - this is totally my home. But where are my Sims? It’s telling me they’re at home, but they’re not here.” Anyway, this should be fixed now.
  • Ghosts will no longer be obsessively calling you 5-ish times a day to see if you want to come over and hang out. They’ve been working on their self-control and are limited to at most one call per day now.
  • Terrain Paint now functions properly on Laptop Mode for AMD graphics cards.
  • NPC Sims will no longer get a sudden need to get nude after waking up if they have traveled off-lot and returned while you are visiting them. This one was weird. I wish I could show you the bug video.

Get Famous

  • We’ve toned down the amount of excitement that occurs when a celebrity makes an appearance outside of Del Sol Valley. They should be showing up outside of Del Sol Valley less often as well, so that should cut down on the ruckus.
  • It was a setup! I’ve been framed! It wasn’t me, I swear! You’ll pay for this! You got the wrong guy, it was Wilma! Wilma, I tell you! Celebrity Sims will no longer be falsely accused of stealing things. And for Wilma’s sake, I hope they get over what happened in the past.
  • Captain Sigma’s Gig costume no longer includes a chicken mask. That was a fowl fashion choice.
  • Performing “Tell a Group Story” Interaction Goals will now complete for the Fan Meet & Greet Event.
  • We fixed the issue with Del Sol Valley’s terrain disappearing when View Distance was set to High. Graphics cards (that we know of) that were affected by the issue:
    • Intel HD Graphics 3000
    • Intel HD Graphics 4000
    • AMD Radeon R6 Graphics
    • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145
    • NVIDIA GT 120
  • We fixed the Del Sol Valley skyline texture glitch after exiting CAS.
  • Elder Sims will no longer have the option to retire from the Acting Career, just to be met with a sad, sad reality. Before they were taunted with a TNS telling them they got this big great pension and now they can sit back and relax, but the pension amount was §0. That’s just so darkâ€Ķ

Seasons

  • Now, if you travel during a holiday, the holiday decorations on your neighbor’s homes will be removed after the holiday ends. They were admittedly being either a bit overly festive or just a tad lazy. Either way, it’s been dealt with.
  • Sims will no longer gluttonously guzzle/gulp/slurp/chug water/milk/orange juice during events. No need to be so shellfish.
  • Jogging Vampires will no longer hold an umbrella while jogging because that’s just silly.
  • Coffee and Tea is safe to drink again. Sims will no longer receive the “Lethal Heat” buff and die upon returning home after drinking three hot beverages.

    Thank you for the download and very detailed instructions. It's been a while since I last played The Sims 3/4 and things have changed so much wow and your site helps a lot haha

    Anyway, I was able to run Visual C ++ 2013 and 2017 but not the 2015. It says that the setup failed because there is already a version of it installed. I'm not sure where to go from there... do I keep installing The Sims 4 or is that gonna be a problem?

    1. Hey nevermind, I was able to solve that. Turns out you have to uninstall the latest Visual C ++ already installed on your pc first (I had to uninstall the 2017) then run the 2015 one and then run the 2017 again. Apparently it's a bug that's been around for a while...

  2. I downloaded this and did everything it said. It opened the game one time and after I made a sim it wouldn't load the household. And now every time I try to open the game it either just stays on a black screen or it gets stuck on the Sims 4 screen and never loads

    1. Oh? Sorry to hear you are having problems. I don't know how to fix what you present here, but you can try updating your graphics drivers and also change your game to run windowed. If this does not fix it, I'd advise you go visit the Games4TheWorld Club and check if there's a topic there that has a solution for you, or maybe open a new one.

      To change the game to windowed mode you need to open the file \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Options.ini with a text editor like notepad, then set the flag fullscreen = 0

  3. I installed it its playin all good. But when i open the game the upper screen is like the game is broken,i dont know how to explain.. you know how the tv is not gibing you a good signal and its making something like waves... how can i fix this?

  4. Hi, quick question. I clicked on the link that is supposed to lead me to all the files/downloads, but the page that pops up is completely blank of any download links?

    1. Yes, like I show in the overlay window (the one with the animated emoji), you get a blank page and your browser asks for your permission to use your torrent client to continue the operation (or your torrent client starts automatically downloading your file).

  5. I have downloaded this package and the basic Sims package is working. However, the additional packages are not being picked up. How must I fix this?

    1. You need to use a separate folder for this version and you need to NOT be running Origin in the background when you run this version, otherwise you only get what you have on your Origin account.

        1. As I showed in my video, you need to use the task manager to kill the origin process in the "details" tab. And the off line version of the game has to be installed on a separate folder from the Origin one, usually C:\Program Files\The Sims 4 so it's not mixed up with the Origin version in any manner.

            1. Origin usually opens only when it's running in the background already (if you did not close it using the task manager right before each time you play with the off line version of the game) or if you are running the exe file from the folder where your origin version is, instead of the folder (that has to be a different one) where your off line version of the game is.

              Sometimes you might have issues if your anti virus removes a file or two.

              I don't know of any other situation where this issue might happen, or how to fix it, sorry. If neither of these three scenarios fits your case, I'd advise you to visit the Games4TheWorld Club and check for topics or open one there.

              Please let us know when you find out what was wrong and how you fixed it. 🙂

  6. one more question how do i place my mods into this game ive used mods before with games4theworlds versions but they always have a mods folder preplaced so where would i put my mods in this?

    1. Oh, you just install them the same way you would on a game you got from origin. Mods go inside your Documents folder. I hope to make a tutorial on how to install them (I will have to find out how to install mods myself, since it's years since I last installed Mods on Sims 4). No need for any special folder that is different from what you would need with an Origin version.

      Now, if you want items from the Gallery, you need to use The Sims 4 Gallery

      1. ok i found the mods folder i was looking in the wrong place but there is in fact a mod folder documents>electronic arts>the sims 4>mods. i was looking in the program file itself thankyouuuu 😀

      1. Idk about mommyash but when I open the download link for the game and wait for the "continue to download" button to appear, when i click it i get an empty window... T-T I've tried opening it in a new tab but that didn't help either. I alo chekced all my ad- and pop up blockers, all shut off!
        I'd be SOO thankful if you could help!!

        1. Oh, you are supposed to get a blank window and your torrent client (Tixati, uTorrent etc) should open in the background and start downloading it. If you don't have a torrent client yet, you should install Tixati, it's the one I have been using since a few months ago.

          Please check that you can use peer to peer file sharing systems with your internet, some people in the United States get annoying threatening letters. If you want to have privacy use a VPN service for your downloads, I use Windscribe. Their service is free and if you use my link you get an extra GB per month for free, forever (and I also get another GB myself).

  8. I've got the all in one from you on my pc and it works fantastic but my girlfriends sister loves the sims and only has the original she uses a Mac though, was wondering if this would work for Mac or if you have an all in one portable or any copy for mac?

  10. why is the (get to work) sims 4 i cant find the Detective, Doctor, Scientist place can u make a update for get to eork or video cause i cant find the hospital.

  11. I downloaded the update and when I open The Sims 4 and click on play and choose my Sims to play it goes to the load screen. The Sims symbol turns and it won't go any further. I even let it run overnight and when I checked it this morning it didn't leave the page. So I closed it and removed my Mods folder and it loads just fine. Any ideas?

    1. There you go! You likely have a mod that's not compatible. Try removing all the mods from the mods folder, then reinstalling them a few per time until you find the bad one. Of course, update all the mods you can first.

  13. Hi, i have been playing a repack of patch v.1.50.67.1020 from another site. Can i run this alongside that repack, or do i need to install every patch update since Strangerville? Or should i just wait until the Anadius pack comes out and would i need to uninstall my current version before running the new one?

    1. You can overwrite the one you have with the new release, but the new release is still to become available (the current link is for the freelancer 1.51.77.1020, as noted in the article). It's due to become available today or tomorrow. You can just overwrite what you have or use Anadius version if you prefer to also overwrite what you have. Just don't overwrite an Origin version of the game to avoid complications.

  15. I'm sorry if this is obvious or if I'm missing it somewhere, but how do I download just the update and not the whole 32gb file again?

    1. Please wait for the update version, or Anadius (if you choose the same folder where you have the previous Anadius version your torrent client will skip the parts you have automatically and only download what you're missing).
